Notes to Remember from Morris Animal Refuge

It's been cold outside. With more cold to come and so many new members joining our mailing list, we wanted to repeat our annual warning about "Antifreeze". While "antifreeze" is an important product to have in order to prevent damage to your car, it's pure "poison" for your animals. For some reason its scent and taste are attractive to animals. Make sure that you put your container of "antifreeze" out of reach. Wipe the container clean in case it falls. If you spill any while refilling or topping off, make sure you clean the spill completely, including washing the spill down with lots of water. Finally, make sure you properly dispose of any rags or towels you've used for clean-up.
